World Bank President Ajay Banga on September 10 said that G20 Delhi Declaration would help in bringing reforms and redefine the vision of the bank.
New CEO Banga has pushed to expand climate change and hunger programs, and boost the bank’s lending power with new funding and balance sheet rules.
On the G20 sidelines, Banga said the World Bank was trying to expand the “aperture” of its view by working on eradicating poverty on a livable planet.
He also reiterated about the new agreement of the World Bank with Inter American Developmental Bank.
The agreement deepens cooperation on Western Hemisphere development efforts, including preserving the Amazon rainforest, Caribbean disaster resilience and digital access across Latin America.
