Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli is expected to rejoin the Indian team in Thiruvananthapuram today, after he had to take a detour from Guwahati to visit his family in Mumbai due to some personal emergency.
The Indian team arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday evening in preparation for their second practice game against the Netherlands, scheduled for Tuesday.
India’s first warm-up match against England at the Barsapara Cricket Ground in Guwahati was abandoned on Saturday due to continuous rain, with not a single ball bowled. There’s a possibility that rain might impact India’s second practice match as well.
Their optional practice session on Monday is contingent on favorable weather conditions, although thunderstorms have been predicted.
An update from the Kerala Cricket Association stated that India plans to practice at the St. Xavier’s College Cricket Ground from 2 pm to 5 pm.
