In a significant boost to the development landscape of Gwalior, PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various projects worth approximately Rs 19,260 crores. The momentous occasion witnessed the dedication of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, the Grih Pravesh of over 2.2 lakh houses constructed under PMAY, and the inauguration of houses built under PMAY – Urban. Additionally, the Prime Minister initiated the Jal Jeevan Mission projects, unveiled 9 health centers under Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, inaugurated the academic building of IIT Indore, and marked the foundation stone laying for hostels and other campus facilities. A Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Indore was also inaugurated.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the historical significance of Gwalior, describing it as a symbol of bravery, self-respect, pride, music, and mustard. He emphasized that this land has produced numerous national revolutionaries and leaders, such as Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia, Kushabhau Thakre, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

PM Modi stressed the responsibility of the current generation to contribute to India’s development and prosperity. He noted that the government is executing an impressive array of projects in a single day, surpassing the accomplishments of many previous administrations.

Highlighting the success of the double-engine government – one at the central level and one in the state – Prime Minister Modi asserted that this synergy has accelerated the pace of development in Madhya Pradesh. He also expressed the government’s ambition to propel the state into the top three states in India.

PM Modi underlined the government’s commitment to providing pucca houses to disadvantaged families, with 4 crore families across the nation having already received such homes. He contrasted the current administration’s approach, which focuses on beneficiary needs and utilizes technology to ensure transparency and efficiency, with past practices.

The Prime Minister emphasized the empowerment of women, citing that homes are now registered in the name of female family members, making millions of sisters ‘Lakhpati.’ He encouraged women homeowners to prioritize their children’s education.

In the context of the recently passed ‘Narishakti Vandan Adhniyam,’ PM Modi reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling all guarantees. He called for greater participation of Matrushakti (women power) in the nation’s development journey.

PM Modi emphasized that modern infrastructure and robust law and order benefit both farmers and industries. He warned against anti-development elements, which he said could lead to a rise in crime and atrocities against women, dalits, backward classes, and tribals.

The Prime Minister also highlighted various initiatives aimed at supporting marginalized sections of society, including divyangs (people with disabilities), small farmers, and artisans. He outlined plans to cover training costs and provide financial support to artisans, along with affordable loans.
