Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Javier Milei for winning Argentina’s presidential election.
In a social media post, PM Modi said that he looks forward to working closely with him to diversify and expand India-Argentina strategic partnership.
Brazilian’s president Luiz Inacio Mula Da Silva congratulated Milei. He said “Democracy is the voice of the people, and it must always be respected. My congratulations to Argentine institutions for conducting the electoral process and to the Argentine people who participated on election day in an orderly and peaceful manner. I wish the new government good luck and success.”
Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro said on Monday (November 20) the “neo-Nazi extreme right” won in Argentina, a day after the victory of the radical Libertarian Javier Milei in the South American country’s presidential election.
During a broadcast on his TV show, Maduro said Milei’s administration intends to “lead a colonial project in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
Maduro said he respected the decision of the Argentine people after Sunday’s presidential election but warned that Milei’s new government “intends to do away with the state and social rights.”
Colombian President Gustavo said “The extreme right has won in Argentina. It is the decision of its society. Sad for Latin America and we’ll see …”
Right-wing libertarian Milei won Argentina’s presidential election, putting an outsider with radical views in charge to fix South America’s No. 2 economy battered by triple-digit inflation, a looming recession, and rising poverty.
