Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday announced the introduction of weather services at the panchayat level, aiming to democratize access to crucial weather information and foster disaster resilience among local communities.
The announcement was made during the unveiling of the logo commemorating the 150th anniversary of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in New Delhi.
