Youth registrations on the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) portal have exceeded 3.5 million as of December 26. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the youth during Veera Baal Diwas, appealed for increased participation on the MY Bharat portal, highlighting its significance as a platform for active engagement.
Providing insights into the nationwide campaign, the Prime Minister pointed out its primary goal of bridging the gap between the youth and the aspirations of a developed India, as envisioned in Viksit Bharat. He invited every young individual to register on the MY Bharat portal, describing it as a significant institution for the country’s youth.
“This platform is now evolving into a major institution for the young daughters and sons of the country,” PM Modi said, underscoring MY Bharat’s role in empowering the youth.
During his address, PM Modi celebrated the recent success of Indian athletes in international events, noting that many hailed from middle-class families in rural areas. He credited their achievements to the Khelo India campaign, which focuses on providing enhanced sports facilities and training near their homes, ensuring a transparent selection process. The Prime Minister highlighted this success as a direct outcome of prioritizing the well-being of the youth.
Launched by PM Modi on October 31, the MY Bharat platform is envisioned as a crucial, technology-driven facilitator for youth development and progress. The overarching goal is to offer equitable opportunities, empowering the youth to realize their aspirations and contribute to the creation of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). This ‘Phygital Platform’ integrates physical activity with digital connectivity, providing a holistic approach to youth engagement.
