Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ program to honor the legacy of courage and sacrifice at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on December 26, 2023 . The event will be marked by a march-past by youth in the capital city.

The government has organized participative programs across the country, aiming to inform and educate citizens, especially young children, about the exemplary courage of the Sahibzades. As part of these initiatives, a digital exhibition illustrating the life story and sacrifice of the Sahibzades will be displayed in schools and childcare institutions nationwide.

Additionally, a film on ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ will be screened across the country, providing a visual narrative of the historic event. To engage the public further, various online competitions, including interactive quizzes, will be organized through the MYBharat and MyGov portals.

The significance of December 26 as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ traces back to the Prakash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh on January 9, 2022. On that day, PM Modi announced the observance of December 26 to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons, Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh.
