TCIL presents Rs 14.20 cr. dividend to government for FY 2022-23

Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) has recently disbursed a dividend of Rs 14.20 crore to the government, marking another successful financial year. The Chairman & Managing Director, Sanjeev Kumar, handed over the dividend cheque to the Secretary of Telecom, Neeraj Mittal, in a ceremony highlighting the company’s consistent profitability.

Since its establishment in August 1978, TCIL has proven to be a Mini Ratna Category – I Status Company under the Department of Telecommunications, with the Government of India holding 100% of its share capital. Over the years, TCIL has maintained a remarkable record, delivering a cumulative dividend of Rs 294.19 crore to the government by FY 2022-23.

In the recently concluded financial year, TCIL achieved an impressive revenue growth of 25%, reaching total standalone revenue and profit after tax figures of Rs 2,001.7 crore and Rs 35.50 crore, respectively. The company’s group and standalone net worth stand at Rs 1,712.00 crore and Rs 618.56 crore as of March 31, 2023.

TCIL, a prime engineering and consultancy company operating in the telecommunications, IT, and civil construction sectors, has executed projects in over 70 countries globally. Notable among these are operations in Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Mauritius, Nepal, and a Pan Africa e-Vidya Bharti & Arogya Bharti Network project operating in more than 15 African countries, with more expected to join.

The company is actively involved in executing high-value projects for the Government of India, including Rural ICT for the Department of Posts, NFS for Defence, Navy Network, Bharatnet Project for APSFL, Telangana Fiber, BBNL VSAT, Indian Coast Guard, MHA, CCTV Surveillance Projects for State Police, Smart Cities, Railways, e-education, and e-Health Projects.

TCIL’s continued success underscores its significant contribution to both national and international telecommunications and infrastructure development. With a robust financial performance and a diverse portfolio of projects, TCIL remains a key player in shaping the future of telecommunications and technology in India and beyond.
