Amit Shah chairs high-level meeting to bolster security measures in J&K

Union Home Minister Amit Shah presided over a crucial review meeting on Tuesday to review the security measures in Jammu & Kashmir. The session, held in New Delhi was attended by key figures, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary, Chief of Army Staff, and other top officials.

During the meeting, Shah scrutinized the area domination plan devised by security agencies operating in Jammu and Kashmir, aiming to eradicate the looming threat of terrorism. Emphasizing the need for a robust counter-terrorism strategy, Shah urged a comprehensive elimination of the terror eco-system. The Home Minister also advised strategic deployment in vulnerable areas to ensure enhanced security measures.

Shah emphasized that the government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remains strongly committed to fighting terrorism with a zero-tolerance approach. He stressed the need to follow proper procedures in anti-terrorism operations and underlined the importance of strengthening the local intelligence network.

Amit Shah commended the combined efforts of security agencies and the administration of the Union Territory, acknowledging a noteworthy decline in terror-related incidents, successful measures against infiltration, and an overall improvement in the law and order situation. The Home Minister’s appreciation underscored the collaborative efforts to maintain the region’s security and stability.
