The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has initiated ‘Operation Dara-e-Bolan’ in the Mach and Bolan regions of Balochistan. This operation, conducted in collaboration with elite BLA units such as the Majeed Brigade, Special Tactical Operations Squad, Fateh Squad, and Intelligence Wing, has targeted strategic positions, resulting in significant developments in the ongoing conflict between the BLA and Pakistani forces.

Initial reports from Mach city describe a massive explosion followed by intense gunfire, indicating the commencement of the operation. Notably, BLA forces have reportedly seized control of multiple railway stations and engaged in combat at various locations, including the FC Commandant’s Office and Jail Colony. Checkpoints of the Pakistani Frontier Corps and military near Mach Cantonment and Railway Station have been overtaken by armed BLA fighters, marking a significant shift in control over strategic positions in the region.

As the situation continues to evolve, videos on social media confirm the BLA taking police and paramilitary hostages. ‘Operation Dara-e-Bolan’ significantly impacts the Mach and Bolan regions, with ongoing heavy explosions and gunfire reported in Mach city. BLA militants launched multiple rocket attacks against Pakistani forces, firing 15 rockets consecutively in Mach city. Transportation disruptions include armed individuals blocking the NH-65 national highway near the Pinjra Bridge area. The operation spans over a 70km radius, with highway blockades in Bolan and continued confrontations in and around Mach.

An increase in Pakistani military presence has been noted, with forces reportedly moving from Quetta to Mach. Lack of electricity and internet services in the region poses challenges in obtaining comprehensive details. Exchanges between the BLA and Pakistani forces continue, with ongoing confrontations.

Jeeyand Baloch, the BLA spokesperson, claims that at least 45 Pakistani military personnel have been eliminated during ‘Operation Dara-e-Bolan,’ and the dead bodies are under BLA’s custody. Several personnel of Police and Levies were reportedly arrested but released with warnings. Jeeyand Baloch cautioned that any hindrance during the operation will be dealt with accordingly.

The scale of ‘Operation Dara-e-Bolan,’ targeting strategic locations such as Mach jail, the railway station, and other governmental facilities, underscores its significance, marking it as one of the most substantial operations in Balochistan’s recent history.
