Dubai came alive with vibrant festivities as the Global Business Forum Middle East and Marwari Yuva Manj joined forces to present the Global Bharat Festival. Drawing a crowd of over two hundred community members, the event featured a cultural program dedicated to commemorating the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Uttar Pradesh Day. Notably, a significant number of attendees had been residing in the United Arab Emirates for many years, with a notable presence of elderly participants.
At the heart of the celebrations, a symbolic recreation of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya took center stage, surrounded by intricate floral arrangements. Attendees immersed themselves in prayer rituals, creating a serene and spiritual ambiance. The festivities in Bur Dubai marked a subtle yet profoundly moving experience, encapsulating the essence of both Uttar Pradesh Diwas and the Ayodhya consecration.
The cultural program aimed to pay homage to the religious and cultural significance of the Ram Temple, revered as the birthplace of Lord Ram in Hinduism. The temple’s construction in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India, stands as a historic moment for the global Hindu community.
Simultaneously, the celebration extended its tribute to Uttar Pradesh Day, shedding light on the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and accomplishments of the Indian state. This event served as a platform to unite people and showcase the diverse cultural tapestry of Uttar Pradesh. Organizing such festivities in Dubai provided the Indian community residing in the region with an opportunity to reconnect with their roots and partake in the joyous celebration of these significant milestones in their cultural and historical journey.
In an upcoming event, the BAPS Swamynarayan temple in Abu Dhabi is set to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister in the second week of February. The UAE’s support for the construction of a Hindu temple sends a powerful message about the importance of unity in diversity and the role of faith in bridging cultural gaps. The strong Indian community and UAE’s support are poised to strengthen the existing friendship between India and the UAE.
Prominent figures such as Consul Bijender from the Indian Consulate in Dubai, Chairman Chandrashekar Bhatia of the Global Business Forum Middle East, and other notable members of the Indian community actively participated in the celebrations.”
