In the midst of the continuing Russia-Ukraine conflict, Harsh Kumar Jain, the Indian envoy to Ukraine, delivered the 15th consignment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine on Friday, as announced by the Embassy of Ukraine in India on Sunday.
During the handover ceremony, which took place in the presence of Mataliya Liska, Director of the “Kryla Nadiyi” Charitable Fund, and Maksym Kozytskyy, Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Jain presented ten 30 Ifi/A generators as part of the aid. These generators are slated to be distributed to eight educational institutions in the Lviv region, with the aim of supporting their educational activities.
Expressing gratitude, the Ukrainian Embassy acknowledged the Indian government’s humanitarian assistance, stating, “We express our sincere gratitude for the provided humanitarian assistance during the hard times of Russian aggression. We highly appreciate the human-centric approach of the Government of India and its commitment to continue to provide humanitarian support to the people of Ukraine.”
This recent contribution follows India’s August delivery of the 14th consignment, which consisted of essential medicines, to Ukraine. Harsh Jain, the Indian Ambassador to Ukraine, oversaw the handover of the aid to Ihor Kuzin, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Health. The Ukrainian Minister expressed gratitude to the Government of India for their timely assistance.
Additionally, in the context of the ongoing Moscow-Kyiv conflict and peace efforts, India and Ukraine engaged in the ninth round of the India-Ukraine Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) in Kyiv. Sanjay Verma, Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs, co-chaired the FOC with Emine Dzhaparova, Ukraine’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Ministry.
