Harish Parvathaneni, the Indian envoy to Germany, on Friday held discussions with Florian Hahn, the defence political spokesperson of the Union parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Germany.
The Indian Embassy in Germany shared insights into the meeting on social media platform X, stating, “Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni met with Mr. Florian Hahn, MdB, and Defence Political Spokesperson of @cducsubt. They discussed means of strengthening the India-Germany strategic partnership and economic engagement between India and Bavaria.”
Earlier on Thursday, Ambassador Parvathaneni met with Johann Wadephul, the deputy chairman of the Union parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. Discussions centered on recent developments in global and regional security, with a focus on bolstering the India-Germany strategic partnership.

In a separate series of meetings at the Indian embassy in Germany, Parvathaneni engaged with leaders of German Water Partnership (GWP) and the German water industry. The discussions revolved around potential collaboration in the areas of water treatment and water purification.
