Celebrating India’s 75th Republic Day, Oman Sultan Al Olama, the UAE Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications., graced an National Day Reception held at the iconic Taj Exotica in Dubai. The chief guest, along with Consul General of India at Dubai, Satish Kumar Sivan, cut the cake, marking the 75th year of Republic Day celebrations.
Consul general Satish Kumar Sivann remarked on India’s ascending global prominence, attributing it not only to economic advancement but also to its role as a global force for common goals.
Since gaining independence in 1947, India has consistently advocated for the global South in their struggle against colonialism and imperialism, as emphasized on this occasion.
The event drew attendees from various sectors, including Pravasi Bharati Samman Awardees, community members, diplomats, and business leaders.
The festivities unfolded with the vibrant theme “One Nation One Voice,” featuring a stunning showcase of cultural performances. Attendees enjoyed captivating Garba, Laavrii, Contemporary Kathak, and Semi-Classical Indian dances, inspired by the rich traditions of Kathak and Bharatanatyam.
The performances by The Gurukul Studio held the audience spellbound, offering a visual feast of artistic expression resonating with India’s diverse cultural heritage. The dance sequences beautifully embodied the spirit of unity, diversity, and harmony that has characterized the nation’s 75-year journey.Adding a unique flair to the celebrations, the event featured a Chenda mela by the AKCAF, enriching the cultural experience with the resounding beats of the Chenda drums echoing through the venue, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
The National Day Reception served as a platform not only for cultural exchange , reinforcing the commitment of both nations to progress and mutual growth.As the evening concluded on January 26, 2024, guests departed with a sense of shared celebration, appreciating the cultural diversity and technological advancements that made the 75th Republic Day an unforgettable milestone in the diplomatic and cultural relations between the UAE and India.
