Nepal Tourism Board celebrates 25th anniversary of public-private partnership, targeting 35 lakh tourists

On the silver jubilee celebration of Nepal Tourism board public private partnership, it was revealed that ten lakh twelve thousand tourists visited Nepal in 2023. Nepal is looking forward as a tourist destination for all seasons, for all age groups and campaign Nepal Beyond Mountains is an effort to ensure tourist flow throughout the year.

On the 25th anniversary of NTB, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati, said time has come to explore new tourist destinations. Once the new places are explored, its links to art and culture are equally important.

Promotion of indigenous culture, jatras and cuisines helps boost rural tourism, while heritages also draw tourists. Secretary of the Ministry of tourism, Dr Dipak Kafle informed that the government has adopted the policy of creating one million jobs from the tourism sector by bringing in 3.5 million tourists every year by 2032. It was noticed that post covid, Nepal tourism industry is recovering.
