A drive to recruit over 10,000 Indian construction workers for employment opportunities in Israel is currently underway at Maharshi Dayanand University in Haryana’s Rohtak.
Sunit Mukherjee, the public relations officer of Maharishi Dayanand University, said that the recruitment initiative, facilitated by the Skill Development Corporation under the agreement between the governments of India and Israel, is drawing interest from skilled individuals such as carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, welders, and more.
Mukherjee noted the widespread appeal of the program, extending beyond Haryana, stating, “Under the Haryana government’s initiative, arrangements have been made to send 10,000 individuals from Haryana to Israel. Remarkably, people from other states are also converging in Rohtak for recruitment, enticed by the prospect of good jobs in a promising country.”
Undeterred by the challenging geopolitical situation, Mukherjee emphasized the strong determination of individuals to pursue opportunities in Israel, noting, “People who reached here told us that they came to know about the recruitment through the media, in which a salary of more than one lakh has been mentioned, and people want to go to Israel to earn money despite the war-like situation.”
“As per the bilateral agreement, Maharishi Dayanand University in Rohtak, Haryana, is the focal point for recruiting skilled personnel. The Skill Development Corporation is orchestrating this recruitment drive under the banner of Skill Employment.”, he added.
The recruitment campaign is scheduled to continue until January 21.
