Socio-Cultural Rejuvenation of Ayodhya: Know the Media Advisory

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Ayodhya on January 22, 2024 for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, that will culminate on January 22. Presided by PM Modi, the grand ceremony will be attended by thousands of VVIPs and others. Elaborate arrangements have been made for live telecast of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’, so that crores of people from all across the world could see it.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony will be broadcasted live on DD News and DD National channels of Doordarshan. Clean feeds of the event are also being made available to domestic and international media, allowing widespread coverage. The following access arrangements have been put in place:

For ANI Subscribers:

The clean feed of the event will be shared with ANI, and all TV channels subscribed to ANI can access the feed from there.

For National and International Broadcasters:

A YouTube link with the key of the clean feed will be generated for other national and international broadcasters. Interested broadcasters can request the link, and it will be shared accordingly.

For YouTube Link:

Domestic broadcasters can place their request for the YouTube link with the Press Information Bureau (PIB) through Sheetal Angral at socialmedia@pib.gov.in or 91-8492856840. International channels can make their request through Prasar Bharati with Shashank Tiwari at shashanktiwari@prasarbharati.gov.in or 91-9810587806.

Option of Patching to DD News:

Channels have the option of patching to DD News if a clean feed is not required, with courtesy extended to the channel in such cases.

Photographs and Press Releases:

PIB has made arrangements to provide photographs and press releases in English, Hindi, and Indian state languages for the event.

Ayodhya Media Centre:

A Media Centre is being set up at Ram Katha Sangrahalay in Ayodhya with limited capacity. Large LED TVs will facilitate the viewing of the telecast, and Wi-Fi facilities will be available for media persons to file their stories. PIB has set up a centralized portal https://accreditation.pib.gov.in/mediaregistration/MediaRegistrationOTP.aspx to receive applications to facilitate issuance of Security Passes through State Administration

Media Coverage Conditions:

To cover the event, media organizations must adhere to the following conditions:

1. Possession of a valid PIB Accreditation Card or State Accreditation Card.
2. Foreign journalists must hold a valid J Visa.
3. Applications must be accompanied by a Nomination Letter signed by the Editor or Head of News.

Application Caps:

Due to limited space and security restrictions, the following caps on applications are imposed:

– Print (Multi edition papers): 6 (including cameraperson)
– Print (others): 3 (including cameraperson)
– Wire Agencies: 6 (including cameraperson)
– News Channels: 6 (including cameraperson)
– Freelance: 1

Travel and Stay Arrangements:

Media organizations and individuals are responsible for their own travel and stay arrangements in Ayodhya or Lucknow. Accommodation in Ayodhya is limited, and Lucknow is recommended. PIB, in collaboration with the State DIPR, will arrange for bus transport from Lucknow to Ayodhya and back on January 22. Tea, coffee, and lunch will be available at the Media Centre.

The deadline for submitting applications, along with the required documents, is 6 p.m. on January 17. Media personnel can register through the centralized portal: [Media Registration Portal] https://accreditation.pib.gov.in/mediaregistration/MediaRegistrationOTP.aspx.
