Ahead of the much-anticipated opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the city has been enveloped in a robust security blanket, with the deployment of Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) commandos at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk in preparation for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on Monday.

Drone Surveillance to Enchance Security

In a proactive move, Milind Raj, nicknamed ‘Lucknow’s Drone,’ volunteered to support the police by deploying unmanned aerial vehicles. These drones, equipped with cutting-edge technology, have been instrumental in creating an extensive security perimeter around the temple town.

The drones, functioning like airborne police vehicles, offer real-time alerts in case of any suspicious activity. Equipped with specialized software, they can even identify potential troublemakers or criminals, reinforcing the effectiveness of the security apparatus.

Patrolling Across Land, Water and Air

The Uttar Pradesh Police have adopted a multi-pronged approach to security, deploying personnel for patrolling on land, water and air. The Saryu River is under surveillance through both boats and drones, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Piyush Mordia, Additional Director General (ADG) of Lucknow Zone, emphasized the integration of aerial surveillance through drones in coordination with ground and water patrolling.

Vigilance in Preparation for VIP Attendance

As the grand opening on January 22 approaches, security has been intensified with personnel deployed strategically. A notable 8,000 VIP guests are expected to attend the ceremony, heightening the significance of these precautionary measures.

Pran Pratishtha Ceremonies Commenced with Vedic Rituals

A week before the main ceremony, several vedic rituals for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla have been conducted in Ayodhya.

The idol of Ram Lalla was placed inside the ‘Garbha Grah’ of the Ram Temple on Friday, accompanied by joyous chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram.’

A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will lead a team of seers officiating the main rituals during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to perform the primary rituals during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, adding a distinguished touch to the historic event.

In the lead-up to this momentous occasion, daily briefings and debriefings are being conducted with deployed officers, ensuring a seamless coordination of security efforts in Ayodhya.
