The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast indicating rainfall with isolated thunderstorm activity across Northeast and adjoining East India until Sunday. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall and snowfall are expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, and Nagaland over the next two days. There’s also a likelihood of hailstorm activity at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal today.
The Met department has further mentioned that hot and humid weather conditions will persist until today over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Kerala. However, it anticipates no significant change in minimum temperatures across most parts of North India for the next five days.
In an interview with Akashwani News, Senior Scientist at IMD, R.K. Jenamani, stated that the prevailing Western Disturbance has subsided, reducing the likelihood of extreme weather changes. He noted that the day temperatures are currently normal and are expected to gradually increase in the coming days.
Meanwhile, in the National Capital, Delhi, sunny days are being observed, with a clear sky predicted for today.
