The Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) portal has marked a significant achievement, surpassing 1.45 crore registrations as of January 31, 2024. This success is attributed to the portal’s user-friendly interface, enabling quick registrations within minutes and making a impact on engaging the nation’s youth in constructive and transformative activities.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on National Unity Day, October 31, 2023, in New Delhi, the MY Bharat platform is designed as a technology-driven facilitator for youth development. Its overarching goal is to offer equal opportunities, empowering youth to fulfill their aspirations and contribute to building a developed India.
Described as a ‘Phygital Platform’ (physical + digital), MY Bharat integrates physical activities with digital connectivity, reflecting its modern and dynamic nature. Youth nationwide can register on the MY Bharat portal and participate in various opportunities and events, including volunteering activities with the police, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and collaborations with different Ministries.
On National Youth Day, January 12, 2024, over 1 lakh volunteers joined hands with traffic police across the country, enhancing road safety and traffic management. Prime Minister Modi, in a conversation with NCC and NSS Volunteers on January 27, 2024, acknowledged the rapid and impactful outreach of the MY Bharat platform.
The platform strives to expand its offerings in emerging sectors and strengthen collaborations with educational institutions and youth organizations. With a commitment to providing equitable opportunities and fostering a culture of continuous learning, MY Bharat seeks to enhance efficiency by converging existing programs and optimizing available resources. MY Bharat represents a vision for India to achieve ‘Viksit Bharat’ by the year 2047.
