Union Minister Piyush Goyal engaged with beneficiaries of the Product-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on February 3. He welcomed constructive criticism from various industrial sectors to enhance facilitation and manufacturing growth.

Highlighting the importance of cooperation, Minister Goyal urged beneficiaries to provide feedback while understanding the government’s constraints. He emphasized transparency in paperwork, stating there’s no room for irregularities. Goyal stressed the need for collaboration between the government and beneficiaries, promoting mutual support to strengthen India’s manufacturing sector.

Goyal clarified that PLI aims to boost manufacturing, not create dependency on government services. He encouraged businesses to be outward-looking, emphasizing competition and the importance of becoming global players. Goyal believes that scaling businesses and being cost-effective are crucial steps for Indian businesses to gain international recognition.

The minister’s interaction aimed to foster a collaborative environment, ensuring that PLI beneficiaries contribute to making India a manufacturing powerhouse.
