The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Thursday revealed the logo for the upcoming 7th North East Youth Festival 2024, symbolizing the essence of the eight northeastern states. Further, Phayre’s leaf monkey, was declared the mascot for the festival.

Scheduled to occur in Tripura from February 26 to 29, the four-day extravaganza will showcase a diverse array of cultural events. It will bring together youth representatives from the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Nehru Yuva Sansthan across the eight states in the North Eastern region.
Tripura’s Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Tinku Roy, outlined the festival’s highlights, including competitions in folk music, folk dance, drama, rock band, guitar, clay modeling, drawing, and photography. Additionally, the event will feature exhibitions showcasing traditional cuisine and handicrafts from the northeastern states.
