To bolster India’s cybersecurity defences, the National e-Governance Division has organized a training program aimed at raising awareness about cybercrime and empowering key players, including Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and frontline IT officials across various government departments.
The 42nd CISO Deep-Dive training program, scheduled from Feb 5-9 in New Delhi, is part of the ‘Cyber Surakshit Bharat’ initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Participants from various states including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and New Delhi have enrolled for this training.
The training seeks to disseminate awareness, enhance capacities, and empower government departments to build a resilient cyber ecosystem. Aligned with the overarching goals of the Digital India program, the initiative aims to facilitate the integrated delivery of diverse government services to citizens. The comprehensive training equips government departments with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective cyber hygiene, safety, and security.
Since its inception in June 2018, NeGD has successfully trained over 1,574 CISOs and frontline IT officials as part of its CISO deep-dive training program.
