Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated power transmission sector projects today worth more than Rs 2100 crores in Rajasthan, aimed at strengthening the infrastructure for transmitting solar power generated in the state. These projects are vital for evacuating power from solar energy zones and ensuring efficient transmission to beneficiaries.
These projects are meant for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan so that the solar power generated in these zones can be transmitted to beneficiaries.
The projects include the Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part A; Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-B1; and Transmission System for providing connectivity to RE projects at Bikaner (PG), Fatehgarh-II & Bhadla–II.
With a focus on enhancing energy infrastructure, the projects underscore the government’s commitment to promoting renewable energy and addressing the energy needs of the region. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of modernizing transmission systems to facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid and ensure reliable and sustainable power supply to consumers across Rajasthan.
