Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day tour of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh on February 22 and 23, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for numerous development projects.
His itinerary begins with the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad. The event is expected to draw over 1.25 lakh farmers.
From there, PM Modi will journey to Mahesana, where he will visit the Valinath Mahadev Temple and later participate in a public function in Tarabh. During this gathering, he will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects valued at over Rs 8,350 crore, spanning sectors like road, rail, energy, health, internet connectivity, urban development, and water supply across Mahesana, Banaskantha, and Ahmedabad districts.
In Navsari, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various projects amounting to approximately Rs 17,500 crore, including segments of the Vadodara Mumbai Expressway, road projects, rural drinking water supply initiatives, and the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park.
Additionally, PM Modi will dedicate two new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station, bolstering India’s clean energy capabilities.
On February 23, PM Modi will visit Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects valued at over Rs 13,000 crore. These projects include improvements in road connectivity, industrial development infrastructure, urban development, tourism initiatives, and health and education infrastructure.
Highlights of his Varanasi visit include the inauguration of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new Medical College and National Centre of Ageing at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and the inauguration of various tourism and spiritual projects along the Ganges.
PM Modi will also participate in a prize distribution ceremony at BHU, where he will honour winners of various competitions and engage with participants. Additionally, he will visit the Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali temple to inaugurate a newly installed statue of Sant Ravidas and unveil various development works in the vicinity.
