The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light to moderate rainfall over the Western Himalayan Region and adjoining plains of Northwest India for the next four days. This prediction comes as another fresh western disturbance is anticipated to impact the Western Himalayan Region, leading to fairly widespread to widespread light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Regions expected to experience these weather conditions until March 31st include Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The IMD has noted a possibility of enhanced rainfall over these areas tomorrow.

Northeast India is slated to witness a fresh spell of rainfall and thunderstorms from March 30th to April 1st. Isolated to scattered rainfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning is anticipated over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura until tomorrow, with an increase expected thereafter until April 1st.

While maximum temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged over the rest of the country for the next five days, Central and East India might see a rise in temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next three days. Conversely, West Rajasthan is expected to experience a drop in temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius within 24 hours.

The IMD also highlighted the likelihood of hot and humid weather prevailing over regions including Konkan, Goa, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Saurashtra, and Kutch until the end of this month.
