Delhi Capitals’ wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has been declared fit by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to participate in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), commencing on March 22.
“After an extensive 14-month rehabilitation and recovery process following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, Rishabh Pant has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming #TATA @IPL 2024,” the BCCI announced on their official social media handle.

Shami is on the road to recovery from his ankle surgery and isn’t expected to return before September this year. Krishna is also under observation by the BCCI Medical Team after his surgery and will start rehab at the NCA soon, unfortunately missing out on IPL 2024.
“The fast bowler successfully underwent surgery on February 26th for his right heel problem. He is currently under the observation of the BCCI medical team and is ruled out of the upcoming IPL 2024,” stated the BCCI.
Krishna is also under the monitoring of the BCCI medical team.
The fast bowler underwent surgery on February 23, on his left proximal quadriceps tendon. He is currently under observation by the BCCI Medical Team and will resume rehabilitation at the NCA soon. Unfortunately, he will not be able to participate in the upcoming IPL 2024,” confirmed the BCCI.
