Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth Rs 21,400 crore in Bihar’s Aurangabad. Among the highlights are the significant upgrades to the National Highways network in Bihar, aimed at enhancing connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation.
With an investment exceeding Rs 18,100 crore, the inauguration of several National Highway projects will mark a substantial stride towards modernizing Bihar’s infrastructure. These projects include the expansion of key routes such as the Jaynagar-Narahia section of NH-227, the Patna ring road, and the introduction of new flyovers and lanes across strategic points.
In addition to these, the Prime Minister will lay the groundwork for six more National Highway projects, encompassing the construction of access-controlled Greenfield highways and the development of elevated corridors, further bolstering Bihar’s transportation framework.
Furthermore, the inauguration of twelve projects under the Namami Gange initiative, with an investment of about Rs 2,190 crore, will signify the government’s dedication to environmental conservation and the rejuvenation of river systems. These projects encompass sewage treatment plants and sewerage networks aimed at improving the quality of water bodies in Bihar.
Adding to the infrastructural landscape, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Unity Mall in Patna, envisioned as a modern hub for showcasing Bihar’s local products and craftsmanship. This initiative, with an investment exceeding Rs 200 crore, seeks to promote local manufacturing and boost economic growth.
In the realm of railways, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate three key projects in Bihar, including the doubling of rail lines and the establishment of a MEMU Shed in Gaya, aimed at enhancing rail connectivity and efficiency.
Later in the day, around 5:15 pm, the Prime Minister will arrive in Begusarai, Bihar, to inaugurate a series of oil and gas sector projects worth about Rs 1.48 lakh crore across the country, alongside several development projects in Bihar valued at over Rs 13,400 crore.
Among the highlights of the event will be the inauguration of the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) fertilizer plant in Barauni, aimed at bolstering agricultural productivity and supporting farmers. Additionally, the launch of the Bharat Pashudhan digital database and the ‘1962 Farmers App’ will underscore the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for the welfare of farmers and the livestock sector.
