The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has issued a warning regarding the unauthorized use of its educational materials. In an advisory issued on Monday, the council said that publishing NCERT textbooks for commercial purposes without obtaining copyright permission may result in legal action under the Copyright Act
Additionally, the NCERT also highlighted the possibility of inaccuracies in pirated textbooks or workbooks. The educational body urged caution when using such materials as they may contain factual errors. It encouraged the public to report any instances of pirated textbooks or workbooks by contacting them via email at pd.ncert@nic.in.
