The Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC), High Commission of India in Dhaka organised a colossal Music, Dance and poetry recital on “Tagore and Victoria Ocampo- Vijaya the victorious 100 years” on Monday. Renowned Tagore scholar and singer from the United Kingdom Dr Anand Gupta and artists and musicians from Bangladesh gave spectacular performances on special bonding between Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore and Argentinian Spanish author and nobel laureate Victoria Ocampo.
The ICCR alumni artists gave Ravindra Natya performances on poetry recitals accompanied by Ravindra Sangeet at Chhayanaut Auditorium in Dhaka.
Ambassador of Argentina in Bangladesh Marcelo Cesa was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the Ambassador said Ravindranatha Tagore left a lasting impression on Spanish literature through his literary works.
People from all walks of life were present in large numbers in the audience.
