As the summer sun blazes down with relentless intensity, heatwaves have become a daunting reality for many. The scorching temperatures can be more than just uncomfortable—they can be dangerous. Here’s a guide on how to protect yourself creatively and stay cool, hydrated, and healthy during a heatwave.

1. Hydration Hacks: Sip Smart
Staying hydrated is crucial, but it doesn’t have to be boring. Infuse your water with refreshing flavors by adding slices of cucumber, mint leaves, or berries. These natural additives not only make your water taste delicious but also provide a cooling effect. Try making ice pops with coconut water and pieces of fruit for a tasty treat that helps you stay hydrated.

2. Cool Down with DIY Air Conditioning
If you don’t have air conditioning, create your own! Place a shallow bowl of ice in front of a fan. As the ice melts, the fan will blow cooler air around the room. You can also make a cooling mist by filling a spray bottle with water and a few drops of peppermint oil—spritz it on your face and body for instant refreshment.
