Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a visit to Russia and Austria from July 8-10, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Thursday.
PM Modi will be in Moscow from July 8-9, invited by Russian President Vladimir Putin for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit. During the visit, PM Modi and President Putin will review bilateral relations and discuss contemporary regional and global issues of mutual interest, the MEA said in a statement.
Following his visit to Russia, PM Modi will travel to Austria from July 9-10, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 41 years. In Austria, he will meet with President Alexander Van der Bellen and hold talks with Chancellor Karl Nehammer. The two leaders will also address business leaders from both countries.
PM Modi will also meet with members of the Indian community in both Moscow and Vienna.
