An Indian tourist bus travelling from Pokhara to Kathmandu with around 43 Indians fell 150 meter into Marshyandi River, resulting in death of 27 Indians in the unfortunate road accident in Tanahun. Remaining 16 passengers have been airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment at TU Teaching Hospital.
Embassy of India in Kathmandu continues to be in constant touch with local authorities and the hospital staff for treatment of the injured and earliest repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased to India. Youth Minister of India Raksha Nikhil Khadse arrived in Kathmandu to discuss the rescue operation & further course of action at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu with Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava and Joint Secretary of Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Brighu Dhungana. They are in TU Teaching Hospital to see the injured.
