The registration deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 has been extended to October 11. This comes after a previous extension from the original deadline of September 26 to October 3.
This year, the GATE exam will be organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format in February 2025. Registrations for GATE 2025 began on August 28 and have been extended twice due to requests from students.
“Due to several requests from applicants, the closing date for the extended online registration/application process (with a late fee) is further extended until 11:59 PM, October 11, 2024 (Friday)”, the official notification issued by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee said.
GATE 2025 will feature a total of 30 test papers, including both full and sectional papers. The registration fee is Rs 900 for female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and Rs 1,800 for all other candidates, including foreign nationals.
Candidates who have not yet registered and are interested in taking the exam can submit their applications online through the official website – gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
