Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office and the UAE Media Council, explored new opportunities for AI-driven innovation in the media and entertainment industry during a visit to India. The discussions took place with DNEG, a leading global visual entertainment services company, focusing on feature films, television, and multi-platform content.
During his visit to Mumbai’s filming locations for the upcoming epic Ramayana, Al Hamed met with the film’s director and DNEG’s leadership, including Chairman and CEO Namit Malhotra and Brahma Executive Chairman Prabhu Narasimhan.
Discussions centered on collaborations in visual entertainment and advanced technologies, including the relocation of Brahma AI headquarters to Abu Dhabi. They also explored training programs for Emirati talent to enhance their skills in creating innovative visual content for films, TV, and interactive platforms.
This visit aligns with the UAE’s vision to expand investments in the media, film, and multi-platform content technology sectors. The goal is to position the UAE as a leading hub for media innovation and creativity at both regional and international levels.
“We are open to forming more partnerships with leading countries in visual entertainment to build an integrated media and entertainment ecosystem,” Al Hamed said. He emphasized that this collaboration reflects the UAE’s commitment to accelerating technological advancements in media, AI, and entertainment, solidifying the country’s global leadership in innovation.
