PM Modi to inaugurate development projects worth ₹5,500 crore in Prayagraj

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on Friday, where he will participate in religious rituals and inaugurate development projects worth over ₹5,500 crore. The visit will include a series of spiritual engagements and the launch of key infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and promoting tourism in the region.

PM Modi’s visit will begin at 12:15 PM with a pooja and darshan at the Sangam Nose. This will be followed by a pooja at the Akshay Vata Vriksh at 12:40 PM, and darshan and pooja at the Hanuman Mandir and Saraswati Koop. At 1:30 PM, the Prime Minister will take a walkthrough of the Mahakumbh exhibition site, a significant aspect of the preparations for the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025.

At 2 PM, PM Modi will inaugurate various infrastructure projects for Mahakumbh 2025, including 10 new Road Over Bridges (RoBs), flyovers, permanent ghats, and riverfront roads. These projects are expected to boost connectivity and infrastructure, facilitating better access for the millions of devotees who will attend the Mahakumbh.

In line with his commitment to the Swachh Bharat Mission and Nirmal Ganga initiative, PM Modi will also launch projects aimed at ensuring the interception, tapping, diversion, and treatment of minor drains that lead to the Ganga. These efforts will ensure zero discharge of untreated water into the river, contributing to its cleaning and preservation. Additionally, various infrastructure projects related to drinking water and power supply will be inaugurated to improve the region’s overall amenities.

A major highlight of the visit will be the inauguration of several temple corridors, including the Bharadwaj Ashram corridor, Shringverpur Dham corridor, Akshayvat corridor, and Hanuman Mandir corridor. These corridors are designed to ease access for devotees and boost spiritual tourism in Prayagraj.

Furthermore, PM Modi will launch the “Kumbh Sah’AI’yak” chatbot, a technological initiative aimed at providing devotees with real-time guidance and updates on the events and schedules of the Mahakumbh Mela 2025.
