Kiren Rijiju | George Soros

“We should fight unitedly against anti-India forces”: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju

Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Monday urged Congress and its members to put aside political differences and unite in the fight against “anti-India forces,” specifically addressing concerns about George Soros’ links to political entities in India. Rijiju emphasized that certain national issues should not be viewed through a political lens but rather with the collective interest of the nation in mind.

“We should not see certain issues with political lenses. The recent revelations about George Soros and his links are not about Congress or Rahul Gandhi. We must take them seriously as they relate to anti-India forces,” Rijiju said while speaking to the media in New Delhi.

He further appealed to the Congress leadership and workers, urging them to raise their voices if any of their members are found to have links with such forces. “If even Congress leaders have connections with anti-India forces, they should speak out and we must fight unitedly,” he added.

Rijiju also reacted to the growing concerns over Soros’ involvement in Indian political matters, calling the charges “serious.” He stressed that all citizens, regardless of their political affiliation, should prioritize the nation’s interests. “Whether a member of parliament or a common man, everyone should work for the country’s betterment. We should be united in combating anti-India forces,” Rijiju said.

On the ongoing debates within the opposition INDIA alliance, Rijiju remarked that some members have questioned Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, but he refrained from interfering in the internal matters of the Congress party or the alliance.

This comes as Congress is planning another day of protests outside Parliament, calling for a discussion on the Adani issue. Meanwhile, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, during his statement on December 7, praised Mamata Banerjee’s leadership within the INDIA alliance, acknowledging her as a potential national leader.
