The Mumbai Police on Friday clarified that no individual connected to actor Saif Ali Khan’s case had been detained so far. Earlier reports suggested that one person had been brought to the Bandra Police Station for questioning.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra’s Junior Minister for Home (Urban), Yogesh Kadam, said on Friday that there was no gang involvement in the incident.
“It was purely an attempted theft, and no gang was involved. The police are continuing to investigate the case,” the minister stated, adding, “Saif Ali Khan never requested security. This attack was not part of any gang activity. The accused entered the house with the intent to steal. A scuffle broke out between Saif Ali Khan and the suspect, during which the actor sustained injuries.”
Amid concerns about Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s well-being, Dr. Nitin Dange from Lilavati Hospital confirmed on Friday that the actor was doing “extremely well” and was safe. He added that Saif Ali Khan had been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, his movements remain restricted.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, one of the first doctors to attend to Saif Ali Khan after the injury, said, “He had blood all over but walked in like a lion with his young child. He is a real hero. He is doing well now, and his parameters have improved. He has been moved from the ICU to a special room. We will limit visitors as we want him to rest.”
