PM Modi criticizes AAP govt, slams Delhi’s education system and pollution crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a scathing attack on the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, accusing them of damaging the education system in the city over the last 10 years. Addressing a public meeting at Ashok Vihar’s Ramlila Ground, PM Modi criticized the AAP-led government for not properly utilizing funds allocated by the central government for education.

“A new college in the name of Veer Savarkar is going to be built in Najafgarh,” PM Modi said. “But those who have been in power in Delhi for the last 10 years have harmed school education. The money that the central government has given to Delhi – the current government has not even spent half of that money on education.”

PM Modi also highlighted the achievements of the New Education Policy (NEP), saying, “Such initiatives were never undertaken even after Independence, but it is your servant who has made it happen.”

PM Modi took aim at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing the party of leading the city into a state of crisis. “In the last 10 years, Delhi has been surrounded by a disaster. By keeping Anna Hazare at the front, a few dishonest people have pushed Delhi towards this disaster. The AAP has become a disaster for Delhi,” he said.

PM Modi further emphasized the growing frustration among the people of Delhi, stating that voters are determined to free the city from the grip of AAP’s governance. “This disaster has taken over Delhi, and the people of Delhi have waged a war against it. Voters of Delhi have made up their minds to free Delhi from this disaster. Every voter of Delhi is saying, ‘We will not tolerate this disaster, we will bring change.’”

The Prime Minister also criticized AAP for its handling of pollution in the Yamuna River, accusing the party of neglecting the environmental crisis. “Every resident of Delhi can see the situation of the Yamuna. Look at their (AAP’s) shamelessness. They say cleaning the Yamuna won’t get them votes. Will you leave the Yamuna in this condition just because it doesn’t get you votes? This disaster has handed over the lives of the people of Delhi to the tanker mafia,” he said.

In response, Delhi’s Chief Minister Atishi hit back, accusing the BJP of lacking any clear agenda for the upcoming assembly elections. “BJP has no agenda for the elections. They have been in power at the center for 10 years, with a budget of lakhs of crores. They should tell us one thing they have done for the people of Delhi. They have done nothing. Today, they have no vision for Delhi and no CM candidate. AAP has worked for the people of Delhi for 10 years,” Atishi told reporters.
