With only five days remaining, the Mahakumbh will take place in Prayagraj, the revered “king of pilgrimages,” from January 13 to February 26, and is expected to draw around 45 crore devotees from all corners of the world. The event, which occurs every 12 years, is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, attracting millions of pilgrims, saints, and spiritual leaders.
As the date approaches, the first arrivals have already started to make their way to Prayagraj. Saints, ascetics, and devotees are flocking to the city in anticipation of the holy event. The atmosphere is charged with religious fervor as worship has already commenced with the establishment of the Dharmadhwaja (religious flag) in various Akharas.
Kalash Yatras, a traditional procession where devotees carry sacred water, are also being organized, signaling the commencement of the religious rituals ahead of the Mahakumbh. With every passing day, new dimensions of spiritual progress are being added to the festivities, and the preparations are in full swing to host the monumental gathering.
