Thousands gathered on the streets of Dublin to take part in the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on Monday (March 17).
The March 17 public holiday observes the death of St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland.
The day has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture, with parades taking place in towns and villages across the world.
“There are St. Patrick’s Parades all over the world. But this is Dublin, the original one. The big one,” said Ukrainian Andrey Uliyanov, who attended the parade in Ireland’s capital.
