A high-level Indian parliamentary delegation arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday morning, marking a significant milestone in India’s broader diplomatic campaign to build international consensus against terrorism and enhance regional security cooperation. The visit is a key component of ‘Operation Sindoor’, launched by India following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, reflecting New Delhi’s steadfast ‘zero-tolerance’ policy towards terrorism in all its forms.
The delegation held extensive discussions with Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior & Foreign Affairs Committee of the UAE Federal National Council, along with other FNC members. The security of Indian nationals is non-negotiable. India is a strategic partner, and that partnership is not limited to the government; it extends to the people of India as well.”
He further noted the long-term vision guiding the relationship: “We share a deep-rooted history with India, and we are committed to taking that relationship to the next level. This partnership goes beyond bilateral relations. India is now one of the largest nations and is on track to becoming the world’s third-largest economy. We must build on that momentum and leverage India’s achievements across sectors to enhance our bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the region and the world.”
Led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, the multi-party delegation includes BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, and Rajya Sabha member Manan Kumar Mishra; Biju Janata Dal’s Sasmit Patra; IUML MP E.T.
