Terrorists killed innocents asking their “dharma”, we killed terrorists looking at “karma”: Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday highlighted the stark contrast between the nature of terror attacks on Indian soil and India’s response to them.

Citing the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, and the subsequent retaliatory strike under Operation Sindoor, Singh stressed that while the attackers targeted victims based on their religion, India’s response was directed solely at the perpetrators for their heinous acts.

He described himself as a “postman” bringing the goodwill, prayers, and appreciation of the entire nation to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Besides being the Defence Minister, I am here as a messenger. I have come with the best wishes, prayers, and gratitude of the entire country. In a way, I have come as a postman with the message from the world — that we are proud of our Armed Forces,” he said.

During his address, Singh also criticised Pakistan’s handling of nuclear weapons and called on the international community to assess whether such arms are safe in the hands of what he described as a “rogue” nation.
