Yuva Spiritual Summit a milestone in Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday shared an article highlighting the significance of the Yuva Spiritual Summit, calling it a major step toward achieving a drug-free India.

In reply to a post on X by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, PM Modi said, “Union Minister Dr. @mansukhmandviya elaborates on how the Yuva Spiritual Summit marks a major step in building a drug-free India. Have a read!”

Organised by the MY Bharat initiative, the ‘Youth Spiritual Summit’ was held on the sacred ghats of Kashi with the theme “Drug-Free Youth for a Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). The summit is part of the Modi government’s broader campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Movement), aimed at tackling substance abuse through youth-led initiatives.

Dr. Mandaviya, in his post, emphasised that the summit was more than just a spiritual gathering — it represents the beginning of a nationwide youth movement against drug addiction. “This is a spiritual awakening for a national cause. The youth of India are taking the lead in shaping a future free from the menace of drugs,” he wrote.

The event brought together young leaders, spiritual guides, and social influencers who discussed holistic approaches to fighting drug abuse through mental wellness, spirituality, and community engagement.

As part of the summit, awareness sessions, pledges, and youth-centric campaigns were launched to inspire collective action and reinforce the message of a healthier, addiction-free India.

The Prime Minister’s endorsement of the initiative underlines the government’s emphasis on involving youth in the mission to create a developed, drug-free India by 2047.
