Elon Musk-run Tesla set to inaugurate Delhi showroom today

Elon Musk-run electric carmaker Tesla is all set to enter the national capital on Monday with the opening of its second showroom in India.

In a post on social media platform X, Tesla said, “Arriving in Delhi — stay tuned,” along with a graphic showcasing its upcoming launch in the city.

The US automaker will inaugurate its showroom in the upscale Worldmark 3 complex at Aerocity in the national capital. The facility will cater to customers in the National Capital Region (NCR) — a key hub for India’s electric mobility push.

Tesla’s India portfolio currently includes the Model Y electric SUV in two configurations. The standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) version is priced at ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Long Range RWD variant is available at ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries for both are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025.

The Delhi opening comes weeks after the company’s first showroom was inaugurated at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex on July 15, in an event attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He had urged Tesla to set up R&D and manufacturing units in the state.

Initial deliveries will be prioritised for buyers in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Gurugram, with cars dispatched on flatbed trucks to customers’ doorsteps. Tesla has also enabled online registration across all states and Union Territories.
