Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman campaign marks 75 years of Indian constitution with nationwide celebrations: Arjun Ram Meghwal

To commemorate 75 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution, the Ministry of Culture launched a year-long campaign titled Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman on Constitution Day, November 26, 2024. The campaign has witnessed an overwhelming nationwide response, with over 13,700 events held across the country and participation from more than one crore citizens.

The information was shared by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Ram Meghwal, in a written reply to the Lok Sabha on Friday.

The campaign aims to reinforce the Constitution’s significance in the public consciousness and foster a sense of national pride. According to the Ministry of Culture, the core objectives of the initiative include creating a visual and emotional connection with the Constitution, enhancing awareness about its contents, and recognizing the extensive deliberation and dedication that went into its drafting.

“The campaign seeks to instill a deep sense of pride and respect for the Constitution, while educating citizens about its principles and history,” the ministry said.

As part of the campaign, educational institutions, civil society organisations, government bodies, and cultural groups have hosted seminars, exhibitions, debates, awareness drives, and creative programs highlighting the relevance and spirit of the Constitution in modern India.
