LS Speaker Birla extends Independence Day greetings to the nation

On the eve of India’s 79th Independence Day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the nation, including the people of Kota-Bundi. In his message, he emphasized the significance of August 15, a day that evokes pride and self-respect in every Indian, as the country pays tribute to the freedom fighters, revolutionaries, and national heroes whose sacrifices and dedication secured India’s independence.

Birla highlighted India’s remarkable journey as the world’s largest democracy and a leading global economy. He noted the nation’s achievements in diverse fields such as science, medicine, technology, space, and sports, underscoring India’s emergence as a global leader defined by self-respect and self-reliance. He urged citizens to safeguard this hard-won freedom, uphold its dignity, and work toward building a prosperous nation for future generations.

Birla recalled how 40 crore Indians united to realize the dream of an independent India through their relentless efforts. He expressed confidence that today’s 140 crore Indians, through collective dedication, will fulfill the vision of a prosperous nation. He called on all citizens to pledge their commitment to their duties with sincerity and loyalty on this Independence Day.
