The Prime Minister praised the piece for detailing the continuous reforms and farmer-centric initiatives that have bolstered growth in the agricultural sector over the past decade.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Union Minister @ChouhanShivraj explains about the continuous reforms and farmer-centric initiatives which have led to steady growth in the agricultural sector, aiming to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047.”
In the article, published in the Hindustan Times, Chouhan emphasized that agriculture is not just the backbone of the economy but the foundation of a self-reliant and strong India.
“It supports millions of livelihoods, strengthens villages, and ensures food for all. By empowering farmers, encouraging innovation, and improving rural life, we move closer to building a developed and inclusive Viksit Bharat,” he wrote.
The article details how government schemes such as PM-KISAN, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and the National Livestock Mission have contributed to increasing production and improving farmer incomes.
