Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Tuesday, during which the latter extended warm greetings to the PM Modi and the people of India on the occasion of the country’s upcoming 79th Independence Day.
The two leaders reviewed the progress in various areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade, connectivity, health, technology, and people-to-people ties. They also discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the deep-rooted ties between India and Central Asia. They agreed to maintain close contact to continue advancing their bilateral relationship.
