PM Modi, Zelenskyy discuss Ukraine conflict and bilateral ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephonic conversation on Saturday, during which the two leaders exchanged views on recent developments concerning Ukraine and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

Zelenskyy briefed PM Modi on the situation in Ukraine. In response, the Prime Minister reiterated India’s consistent stand in favour of a peaceful resolution of the conflict and extended support for all efforts aimed at the earliest restoration of peace.

The PM assured Zelenskyy that India remains committed to extending all possible assistance in this regard.

The two leaders also reviewed the progress of the India-Ukraine partnership and discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation across sectors of mutual interest. Both agreed to maintain regular contact to take forward the engagement.
